I was online for 8 years, actively searching, having found FindSomeone the better format available back then.
My sincerest opinion in regard to successful searching is to be honest and upfront with what's in your profile. The more factual you are the better the chance of a great match.
I saw Michelle's profile, sent a smile and she emailed me back. After meeting soon afterwards, I realised I had met the one I was looking for and deleted myself from the site. The next day I informed work colleagues that I had found the One.
We continued seeing each other and Married (my choice), she accepted, after 5 years.
We have recently celebrated our 10th anniversary.
